But the best thing about schema therapy is the warmth and empathy for the client that is at the heart of this approach.<\/p><p>When working with children and adolescents, we use creative, playful and age-appropriate schema therapy\u00a0techniques.\u00a0<\/p><p>When we work with parents, we often go beyond counseling and education and help parents to overcome their own distress, unhelpful patterns and family of origin issues, and learn to get their needs met and meet their children\u2019s needs.<\/p><p>In my opinion, schema therapy is the most comprehensive, empathic, and effective therapy approach that I know of.
